This is Rumi’s teaching on adab — that reverence is what fills the heavens with light, and a single act of arrogance can scorch a whole world, as it emptied the heavenly table and cast the proud one from the gate. It is for anyone who senses that how we approach the sacred matters as much as what we ask of it.
